Summer Ale

The style of this ale is traditionally European, similar to a German kolsch: full bodied with a spicy hop tang and a rich, crystal clear golden color. Alcohol content is approximately 6% by volume.

Packaging Design:  Each year, Geary’s, in partnership with the Maine College of Art, awards a $5,000 scholarship to the undergraduate student who submits the best design for our Geary’s Summer Ale package.  This year’s winner is Annie Mora, a junior studying Graphic Design. Annie’s love of the ocean and her watercolor paintings of it inspired her crashing wave design.  The warm yellow background and the use of texture in her wave are truly evocative of summer fun.
